Family Ministries

The Family Ministry Team supports the Christian Education of the youth of the Church. This begins with care in the nursery and continues through Young Adult Sunday School. The Children’s Ministry includes dedicated time during each service for children to learn the specific lesson in their own way with a Children’s Moment spearheaded by Barbie Savant. The children are then invited to participate in a special time away from the sanctuary, known locally as JAM (Jesus And Me) time, where they explore, through creative lessons, the Bible.

Sunday School is offered after service to allow parents time to meet with other church members in conversation and fellowship. Sunday School classes run from after service to noon. Dedicated classes and a nursery are available to learn and grow closer to God. Classes are Children (kindergarten to fifth grade), Youth (middle school ages) and Young Adult (high school and up). All are encouraged to visit with the instructors, who are certified by the United Methodist Church Safe Gatherings Program and have volunteered to share the Word of God.

Middle and high school students are welcome to explore their faith in a fun and interactive environment Sunday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. A light meal is provided. The best way to create disciples of Jesus Christ is to teach the youth how God - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - works in and through them.
